The goalStudents should get familiar with the practical aspects of up-to-date instrumental techniques and methods in clinical diagnostics and small animal and equine therapy.
The outcomeStudents should learn the principles of the modes of function of the basic equipment used in diagnostics and therapy of different disorders in domestic animals such as pets and horses and should obtain the necessary skills for handling equipment for x-ray, ultrasound, electro and endoscopic diagnostics, as well as physical therapy.

Contents of lecturesRoendgenoscope and roendgenography, special Rö techniques: principles, equipment, options and modes of operation. CT and MR: principles, equipment, options and modes of operation. Ultrasound: principles, equipment, options and modes of operation. Electrocardiography: principles, equipment, options and modes of operation. Endotracheal anesthesia: principles, equipment, options and modes of operation. Monitoring during anesthesia. Physical therapy: principles, equipment, options and modes of operation.
Contents of exercisesPractical lectures on how operate the equipment for: Rö diagnostics, ultrasound, physical therapy, endoscopy, electrocardiography, endotracheal anesthesia and monitoring.
