    The goalThe aims of preventive veterinary medicine are to acquire knowledge, about diagnostics, treatment and control of infectious and parasitic zoonoses as well as preventive measures, divided into teaching thematic blocks.
    The outcomeStudents should be aware of the application of national and EU regulations in detecting the prevention and spread of infectious diseases.

    Contents of lecturesNational and EU regulation on animal infectious diseases, Housing and care of commercial animals, Housing and care of domestic, exotic and laboratory animals
    Contents of exercisesTraining simulation of the implementation of measures for the detection, control and eradication of infectious diseases. Field work on the assessment of hygienic conditions, housing and care of animals in commercial farms. Practical work on the assessment of hygienic conditions, housing and care of laboratory and exotic animals.
